Joseph J. Ahern Jr., a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on July 9, 1935, in Cincinnati to the late Joseph and Margaret Ahern, Joe was raised on the city's west side, a community he remained deeply connected to throughout his life. A proud graduate of St. Xavier High School, he went on to earn degrees from the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University, shaping his passion for teaching and business.Joe made his mark in education, founding the business department at the College of Mt. St. Joseph, where he chaired and taught for nearly 30 years before his retirement. Known for his insightful lectures and dry humor, he inspired countless students and colleagues with his wisdom and encouragement.Joe married his beloved wife, Janet, in 1958, and they shared over 60 wonderful years together until her passing in 2019.
